Medibles in Massachusetts

Look out Massachusetts! Medibles are coming to a dispensary near you! What are medibles you ask? Medibles refers to any medical marijuana-infused food and beverage (or really anything that is edible and contains marijuana).

Many marijuana patients choose to ingest medical cannabis instead of smoking or vaporizing the marijuana due to health concerns, other because of personal preference. Eating medibles is a great alternative to smoking/vaporizing. Since the cannabis is processed by the body a little differently when eaten, the marijuana tends to have a different effect on the patient. Consuming cannabis by eating it seems to produce more of a “body high” than when smoked. It can also induce sleepiness, drowsiness and an appetite.

Recently the owner of Dixie Elixirs, Tripp Keber, announced he has intentions to expand to Massachusetts. Dixie Elixirs makes marijuana-infused foods, sodas, tinctures and topical creams among other great cannabis goods. Does that mean Boston? Worcester? Springfield? Lowell? Honestly, we don’t know yet, it still seems a little too early to tell. Keep an eye out though, Dixie Elixirs is one of many medible brands you will soon see on marijuana dispensary shelves. Right now, there are no dispensaries in the state, but as soon as they open their doors, you will be able to find all of the marijuana dispensaries in Massachusetts on MAmarijuana.com!
