What is Hemp Oil?

What is Hemp Oil? Also known as Hemp Seed Oil.

Hemp oil is one of the riches sources of essential fatty acids on the planet.

The nutritional profile of hemp seed oil reveals it is 33% protein, 44% total fats, 15% carbohydrate and 7% fiber, the rest is water and ash. Some of the polyunsaturated fatty acids in hemp seed oil are omega-3s and omega-6s, known as essential fatty acids, or EFAs, which are considered optimal for human health. Omega-6 fatty acids may be useful in many health conditions, including reducing nerve pain associated with diabetic neuropathy, reducing symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, eczema, menopause symptoms and osteoporosis. Gamma linolenic acid also helps your cells burn fat instead of storing it.

Hemp oil is also abundant with antioxidant vitamin E complex, trace minerals and other beneficial plant co-factors. There are between 14 and 21 mg of vitamin E complex per tablespoon. As an industrial crop, hemp oil is used for everything from making plastics, to fuel, not to mention a potent medicine, when hemp oil is made to include the female hemp flowers and leaves.
