National Support For Medical Marijuana Is At All Time High

Almost nine out of ten Americans say that marijuana should be legal to use if a doctor permits it, according to nationwide Fox News telephone poll of just over 1,000 registered voters.

Eighty percent of the poll consisted of self-identified Republicans. The poll also revealed a four percent increase in support of doctor-permitted marijuana use since Fox last polled the same question back in 2010.

Although some poll respondents were divided on whether they believed that “most people who smoke medical marijuana truly need it,” nonetheless, the majority of respondents agreed that using the plant should be legal if a doctor permits it.
