Another poll conducted by WBZ-TV, WBX NewsRadio, and UMass-Amherst shows that 53-percent of Massachusetts voters support Question 4, which would legalize marijuana for recreational use. This is the second recent poll showing support for Question 4.
700 people were surveyed and only 7-percent say they are unsure of their position on the issue. The poll also showed that those over 55 are conservatives and oppose legal marijuana, according to Beacon Hill Patch. All demographic groups were polled during this survey.
The poll also shows that:
- 25-percent say that home growing would be troubling
- 61-percent say they’re alarmed about public use
- 41-percent say they’d be bothered if a opened in their neighborhood
- 52-percent don’t like seeing marijuana advertisements on television or on radio
