Kentucky’s Bluegrass Poll Supports Medical Marijuana & Hemponomics

A recent Bluegrass Poll taken by The Courier-Journal revealed Kentuckians are wise to the economic, social and health benefits of legalizing medical marijuana and the hemp industry.

The University of Kentucky has been feeding livestock with high protein hemp seed, with amazing health benefits for decades now and they have no doubt of the direction they want to head. In fact Kentucky’s agricultural commissioner’s bill to regulate industrial hemp has already passed through the Senate and is scheduled for a hearing this week in a House Committee. The bottom line is Kentuckians want more jobs and they’re convinced industrial hemp will give their state a financial boon.

About 65% of people polled in Kentucky are for hemponomics. The hottest topic on the table these days is whether the federal government should legalize hemp products and turbo-charge the US economy or not. Hemp looks like marijuana, but has less than 0.3% THC, but it’s still misclassified the same as medical marijuana in the US.

When the Bluegrass Poll asked if medical marijuana should be legal in Kentucky, 60% of the people said yes. However, no one has tried to pass that bill yet. Perhaps once Kentucky becomes the economic center of the country, after Bill 50 passes, and is hemploying hundreds of thousands of people with new jobs, sane medical marijuana legislature will follow. It’s becoming self evident America needs both hemp and medical marijuana to recover the economic damage imposed upon it since prohibition. It looks like Kentucky‘s bluegrass revival is looking for a blue chip economy and if they have their way, hemp will be the ticket to huge profits for them and ultimately the GDP.
